MVS Ladies Night

Ladies Only Nights are 6-9pm the first and third Tuesdays of each month between September and May of each year. First time attendees participate for free. For each subsequent attendance, regular range fees apply. We have demonstrations from several Shooting Sports Groups and ladies are given opportunities to shoot black powder, cowboy guns, machine guns, etc.
Ladies Only Nights are not classes, but offer women shooting opportunities and information on several shooting sports in a safe environment that is for Ladies Only. The range is staffed with NRA Certified Range Safety Officers and Instructors. Ladies are encouraged to participate in the WINCHESTER/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program.

Women’s only Two-Day NRA Basic Pistol Class
​
The Basics Pistol Class is intended for all women regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation.
The first session is Saturday 8 AM to 5 PM. The class takes place in a traditional classroom and in a range environment. Students will receive the NRA guide to Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook. The Basics of Pistol Shooting Class topics included: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, live fire training and shooting range safety. After completing a nationally standardized shooting qualification and a written examination students will receive a course completion certificate.

The second session is on Sunday from 10 am to 2:30 PM. The hands-on session will allow each student to try several different handguns. Students are encouraged to rate each handgun on how it fits in their hand, felt recoil, and how well they like it. Guns and limited amounts of ammunition will be provided to the students for the evaluation.

Cost is $150.00 and Pre-Payment is required. The discount for students 15 years and younger applies when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
