Hunter Education Courses

The MVS is partnering with the ADFG Hunter Information & Training Program (HIT Program) to offer Online Hunter Education with Field Days at the MVS Range. The Online Hunter Ed. classes are composed of two parts. The first part consists of an online course and test. The second part consists of attending a 4-hour Field Day. It is only after successfully completing both parts of the course that you will receive your Hunter Education Certification.


Here is a list of the 2019 Field Days that will be held at the MVS Range:

  • Thursday, May 9th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Tuesday, June 4th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Thursday, July 11th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Tuesday, July 30th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Tuesday, August 6th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Thursday, August 15th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Thursday, August 22nd from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Tuesday, August 27th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

  • Thursday, September 26th from 5:30pm-10:00pm

To participate in one of these Field Days, you must first complete the online portion of the class. The class can be taken at this website:


Upon completion of the online portion and payment of the $15 course fee, you will receive an email with your Field Day Qualifier number. This Field Day Qualifier number is required to sign-up for one of the Field Days (or any Online Field Day). To sign-up for a Field Day, go to this website: It is mandatory that you sign-up online for a Field Day with your Field Day Qualifier number in order to participate in a Field Day.
